#FlannelFriday Five Little Penguins

Five Little Penguins

I used to have what may be the best Five Little Whatever rhyme for this ever. Used it once. And then I lost it.

So I’ll just make something up right now! And just for the heck of it let’s do it in reverse.
One little penguin was chillin’ at his home.
He called his friend over so he wouldn’t be alone.
Two little penguins playing with their toys.
Another stopped by when she heard all the noise.
Three little penguins pretending to be pirates on the sea.
They captured a friend and took a break for some tea.
Four little penguins sliding in the snow.
They met with another to go to a show.
Five little penguins had such a great time.
And that’s all the penguins there are in this rhyme.
I also have a craft that uses the same design. But Nicole said they looked “soulless” and “creepy” because I just used diecut circles without pupils as eyes so she added the googly eyes on the flannel. You could use googly eyes in the craft if you have the supplies but really they look ok with just circles. Or have the kids use markers and draw them.

  1. Liked the penquins, and the rhyme – I’ll try this soon. Thanks for sharing!

  2. Cathy says:

This idea is on pintrest. Is that okay? Or do I need to delete it?
